OH&S Induction Manual

  New OH&S Induction Manual Launched

Printing Industries Queensland recently launched the industry's own Workplace Health and Safety Induction Manual in a series of Queensland-wide seminars. Developed in conjunction with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (Department of Industrial Relations), the Manual is a "no nonsense" document that can be utilised as an induction tool for new or existing employees. With workplace health and safety increasingly becoming an issue that requires the full attention of both employer and employee, the Manual offers a convenient step by step approach to basic awareness of the foundations of good workplace health and safety matters. If you missed the launch, copies will be progressively delivered to all members over the coming months. Email Dawn Street for your copy.

State Wage Case

  Queensland State Wage Case

The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission handed down in August it's decision to increase State Award wage rates by $19.40. Unlike previous years, this wage increase only affects unincorporated members (sole traders and partnerships). Incorporated entities (companies) wage rates remain as effective from the September 1 2005 and will not change until the first decision of the Australian Fair Pay Commission is revealed (expected in November 2006). If you are unsure of your constitutional status contact Jette Oliver on (07) 3356 0022 or email here.
