Printing Industries Queensland has called for entries in the annual Business Excellence and Environment Awards. Now in their 5th year these awards showcase management expertise across a range of key areas including relationships with customers and employees, contribution to the industry and financial management.  

For those who believe they have shown leadership and commitment to improving their “green” credentials there is a separate category with its own award.  

Don Parry of Sunshine Coast company Queensland Complete Printing Services knows what’s involved in entering these awards and also how important this success has been to his business. This company has the extraordinary record of winning its category in several Business Excellence Awards and the inaugural 2007 Environmental Management Award, as well as having had notable success in the PICA Awards.

One of the most important aspects of the Business Excellence and Environment Awards process is the high level of confidentiality applied to entries. Only the independent judging panel gets to see the information contained in entries and the names of participating companies are held in strict confidence. This means that if a company enters and does not win its category, no-one outside the judges and the awards administrator will know.  

The Business Excellence and Environment Awards entries close on 19 September and winners will be announced and presented at the 2008 PICA Awards Presentation Dinner to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Friday 28 November.
