Green Stamp Program - Western Australia


Printing Industries Western Australia Region is pioneering an environmental accreditation program that will reward participants with a new competitive advantage. 


Green Stamp logoGreen Stamp is an environmental management system developed in 2003 and is an initiative of the Western Australian Department of Environment in collaboration with and funded by the Waste Authority.

The program has been successfully implemented in three industry sectors. Originally piloted by the automotive industry in 1999, it was adopted by both the printing and cleaning industries in 2003.The three participating industries are represented by Printing Industries Association of Australia (WA),  the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia, and the Cleaning Council (WA) in affiliation with the Building Services Contractors Association of Australia.

The Green Stamp initiative assists Small to Medium Enterprises to go above and beyond their legal obligations and implement an environmental management system. Green Stamp offers a range of environmental management practices into their print business’ and moves them toward achieving environmental best practice. The program aims at identifying and overcoming the difficulties facing small to medium businesses when attempting to manage their environmental impacts.

  • Simplified environmental management plans to assist businesses in identifying and addressing environmental issues.
