Welcome to the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment resource of the Printing Industries Association of Australia.  

This Internet resource centre is designed to meet company needs for information, training and support in meeting responsibilities for the health, safety and welfare at work of employees.  

Material will be added regularly to build up a comprehensive resource that assists companies meet both State and National legislation. 

Printing Industries members needing advice or assistance with specific policies or legislative requirements should contact their local Printing Industries office.

Printing Industries’ Employee Relations team recently delivered briefings to members in states (including the ACT) that have adopted the federal national model for workplace health and safety. As the remaining states and the Northern Territory eventually legislate their own versions of the federal model, the Employee Relations team will deliver appropriate briefings in those jurisdictions as well.

Printing Industries would like to remind members with winter approaching, cold and flu season is already here. Employee illness costs businesses and can affect the long term health of employees. Members should note the NSW government has recently introduced two Bills for Parliamentary debate as the first step towards harmonising current NSW OHS legislation with the Federal governments’ model. It is expected that state adoption of the federal workplace health and safety model will result in a streamlining of obligations and compliance for businesses throughout Australia, regardless of location.
