Printing Industries and the Office of the Employment Advocate completed a national round of Workplace Agreement Workshops for members in June with presentations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra. Further national Workshops will be completed in July.  

National Director Employee Relations, Mr Greg Parkes, said that the workshops provided members with valuable advice and templates to improve productivity and work practices through innovative workplace agreements developed by Printing Industries.

"All the myths and media speculation about workplace agreements are dispelled in these workshops and you can hear it directly from the key personnel from the Office of the Employment Advocate," he said.

"We have also launched our workplace agreement templates on the PrintNet website for members who could not make the planned workshops. The templates include a checklist to guide members to understand the key ingredients of workplace agreements and highlight prohibited content as prescribed by the WorkChoices legislation.
